An heirloom grown since the early 1920’s in central British Columbia. The very productive vines grow to about 2’ tall and have purplish pink flowers that are extremely ornamental. The stout pods are filled with large brown seed with darker mottling and a dark eye that are used in place of beans in baking recipes. Very early and disease resistant.
