The Hubbard squash was brought to Marblehead, Massachusetts from West Indies or South America. J. H. Gregory then introduced it to the seed trade in 1840 and named it after Elizabeth Hubbard. The large fruit weigh 10-15 lbs. and have dark green skin. The interior flesh is golden yellow and dry with good flavor. A good keeper. (110 days)
