Product Description

Maximum quantity available reached.

Originally introduced in 1870 by Colonel George E. Waring Jr of Rhode Island. Trophy became very popular until the 1920’s and is said to be the parent of most varieties developed over the next 25 years after its release. The 1871 Briggs & Brothers seed catalog stated, “fruit very large in size; smooth; ripens early and well up to stem; of excellent flavor, and produces a much greater weight of fruit than any other variety yet introduced. Sold last season at $5 for 20 seeds.” The healthy plants produce large amounts of medium size to large red tomatoes that have a mild sweetness and great for slicing. Indeterminate, regular leaf foliage. (80 days from transplant)

25 seeds per packet.
