(aka Honesty, Moon Seed, Silver Dollars, Silver Pennies) Money Plant has been grown for centuries and was a favorite in Medieval gardens. The seed, once dry, looks like translucent coins and Victorian women hand painted these translucent discs as decorations in the winter months. Money Plant was used to dress wounds in medieval times and the roots were eaten and the seeds were made into a mustard like condiment. It was also very popular in Colonial times. Money Plant makes a very showy and interesting dried arrangement. The flowers are pinkish to white and bloom in the spring. Full sun to part shade. Biennial-Zone 2
