This gorgeous bean originates from Hokkaido, Japan. It is named for its resemblance to the concentric patterning of oyster or clam shells. The black or blue swirls on the beans are very unique and it has quickly become one of my all time favorites! The productive vines dry down well even in my short season and the dry beans are great for soups or stews! (95-100 days for dry beans)
