Developed by John Baer of Baltimore County, Maryland. It originated from a single plant of Bonny Best Tomato. After 15 years of selection, he gave this variety to the J. Bolgiano Seed Company of Baltimore, Maryland and they introduced it in 1914. It was a leading canning variety for many years. The red globe shaped fruit range from 3-6 oz and have excellent flavor. Indeterminate, regular foliage. (75 days from transplanting)
