Jefferson Giant Tomato (1880’s)

This is the extremely rare true strain of Jefferson Giant Tomato-it’s taken many years for me to obtain seed for the true strain and we finally have it! Jefferson Giant is an old heirloom that dates back to the 1880’s. The juicy deep pink oxheart type fruit can reach 1-2 lbs and usually grow in clusters of two to three. The aroma and flavor is outstanding and it has become one of my favorite varieties! One of the heirloom tomatoes featured in Carolyn J. Male’s book, 100 Heirloom Tomatoes for the American Garden.
