Introduced in 1871, and included in the book The Vegetable Garden by Vilmorin in 1885. Giant Prague Celeriac forms a large round root which tastes similar to celery and parsley. It is also called Root Celery or Turnip Rooted Celery and stores well when harvested in the fall. Celeriac is great to add to soups or stews and is also nice pureed.
