A beautiful 19th century African American heirloom with showy variegated foliage. This medium hot pepper was traditionally used in oyster and crab houses around Chesapeake Bay. William Woys Weaver’s grandfather originally obtained the seed for this variety in the 1940’s from Horrace Pippin of West Chester, Pennsylvania and shared it with Seed Savers Exchange. Great for containers! (80 days from transplant)
10 seeds per packet.
