An heirloom chickpea that originates from a famous chickpea growing region of Italy. Chickpeas are also called Garbanzo or Garbanzo Bean. This heirloom variety does well in most parts of Canada and did surprisingly well for us in Manitoba. The bushy 2 ft. plants produce cream colored seed that are wonderful fresh or dried.
