Grown in the US as early as 1806 according to William Woys Weaver. This extremely rare heirloom bean produces green flat pods on large bushes and produces over a long period of time. The young pods are absolutely delicious steamed. The dry seed is black and the blossoms are purple. Bush. (65 days for snaps)
