According to The Vegetables of New York by U.P. Hedrick, These seeds originated in 1875 and were introduced by Bliss in 1878. The dwarf plants grow to about a foot high (depending on richness of soil) and are productive and early. The small pods contain green shelling peas and are usually the first pea ready in the garden. So early in fact, that in our garden, the seeds that aren’t picked grow and produce another crop by fall. This dwarf variety is great for pots, small garden spaces or for the first pea of the season!
