Meme Beauce Tomato

Product Description
Maximum quantity available reached.

An excellent heirloom tomato from Quebec. In 1995, a carpenter renovating an old abandoned house in St. Joseph de Beauce, QC found about 200 unlabelled tomato seeds in the basement. Nobody lived in the house for more than 30 years, and according to the neighbors, there was no garden there for at least 60 years. The seeds were given to Gérard Parent, who managed to germinate only 3 seeds. Meme Beauce produces huge heavily ridged and flattened fruit that have become one of my favorites for size & appearance. The largest tomato weighed in at 3 lbs. and was absolutely gorgeous! Great for sandwiches. Indeterminate, regular leaf foliage. (80 days from transplant)

25 seeds per packet.
