Introduced in 1915, Alacrity was Canada’s first named tomato cultivar. W. J. Macoun of the Dominion Experimental Farm in Ottawa began making selections from Sparks Earliana in 1900. The medium size red tomatoes are good for canning or slicing. Determinate, regular leaf foliage. (70 days from transplant)
