An extremely rare heirloom originating from the Coupeville area of Central Whidby Island in Washington, named after Elisha Rockwell who brought it to the area in the late 1800’s. Rockwell Bean tolerates cool climates well, is very early and productive but the best thing about this heirloom is its taste. The plump white seed has purplish marking around the hilum and is great in most bean dishes but really stands out in baked beans! Bush. (85 days for dry beans) 25 seeds $3.95
