(Agastache foeniculum) (aka Anise Hyssop, Blue Giant Hyssop) One of my favorite wildflowers! I actually hand collected this seed in the wildflower meadows on my farm in Fisher Branch. Agastache Hyssop is native to prairie regions of North America and is loved by hummingbirds, butterflies, bumble bees and other pollinators. It has a sweet licorice mint fragrance and beautiful spikes of bluish purple flowers. It has long been used by indigenous people for many ailments and a tea made from it is said to help with cold and flu symptoms and a poultice made from it is said to help treat burns. The flowers and leaves are edible and make nice additions to salads. A beautiful and very useful perennial wildflower that is also hardy and easy to grow! Perennial Zone 2 Sun to part shade. 2-3 feet high (25 seeds/$3.95)
