(aka National, National Pickle) The National Pickle Packers Association commissioned George Starr of Michigan State University to breed a new cultivar with fruit suitable for both small pickles and large dills. His cultivar was named National Pickling and introduced in 1924. The productive vines produce an abundance of fruit that are perfect for pickling! (55 days to maturity)!
