(aka Butter Slicer, Formanova) An old heirloom from Denmark. This beet has long cylindrical dark red roots which make the slices more uniform than round beets. It is also easier to peel and has delicious sweet fine grained flesh which is why it is also called Butter Slicer Beet. A wonderful processing beet that keeps its flavor well all season long.
