Introduced by Dr. Hoffman of South Carolina in 1965, Provider is widely adaptable and does great in short season or coastal areas. It has long been known as one of the most dependable early green bush beans. The round green pods average 5 1/2" long and have excellent bean flavor. Provider is great for fresh eating, freezing and canning and it germinates in cooler soils than most beans. Very productive and disease resistant as well. Highly recommended! (50 days for snaps)
