Native to southern Europe and Eurasia, Hyssop was brought to North America with the early European colonists and brought to the New World in 1631. Hyssop leaves are used to flavor salads, soups and stews and has been used medicinally in the past for treating respiratory illnesses in the form of a tea. Hyssop is an excellent bee plant and also attracts hummingbirds and butterflies to the garden. Full sun. Perennial-Zone 3
