Lazywife Bean(1810)

A very rare and endangered heirloom that was brought over with the German settlers of Pennsylvania. Said to be known in America as early as 1810 as White Cherry Pole or White Cranberry Pole. This is the original Lazy Wife Bean and it’s taken many years for me to find the authentic variety. It is called Lazy Wife Bean because it was one of the first beans that didn’t need destringing. The green pods can be used as a snap bean when young, but are also a great shell bean when older. When dry, the seed is round and white. The pods are produced later than most pole beans so it is a great variety to extend you fresh bean season. (80 days for snaps)

25 seeds per packet.
